Baptist Church in Warren is a historic stone church with early Victorian-Gothic character, designed by architect Russell Warren. Organized in 1764, it traces its roots to the original Baptist meeting house that was burned by the British in 1778. The site also has a notable place in local history: Brown University, then known as Rhode Island College, held its first classes here in 1769 before moving to Providence. Tours are available on request, offering visitors a closer look at this significant Warren landmark.
