Federal Blues Armory is an independent infantry company with deep roots in Warren’s history, first chartered in 1798 to help protect the town in the event of war. The company was called into action aboard the U.S.S. General Greene, a warship built in Warren and commanded by Christopher Perry, father of Oliver Hazard Perry. Reactivated in 1976, the Federal Blues later established its headquarters in a c. 1865 carriage house that was relocated from Main Street in 1993, preserving another piece of the community’s story.
